DIY Faux Concrete Fireplace

A faux concrete fireplace is simple and easy. We started by installing tile backer board on the framing.

The next step is to use mesh tape and Ardex Feather Finish to tape joints

Taping all the fireplace seams will help prevent cracking.

Durock tile backer board is available at many home centers.

Next skim coat the entire surface with a thin layer of Ardex Finish
